Hadith mengenai lalat

Abu Hurairah meriwayatkan, "Nabi (SAW) berkata,

            "Jika seekor lalat jatuh ke dalam minuman seorang dari kamu, tenggelamkanlah keseluruhannya ke dalam air, lalu keluarkanlah ia , kerana salah satu sayapnya mengandungi penyakit dan yang lain merupakan penawarnya.”

Housefly in Hadith

           Abu Hurayrah narrated, "The Prophet (pbuh) said,

"If a housefly falls into the drink of anyone of you, he should immerse it completely in the liquid, then remove it, for one of its wings has the disease and the other has the cure."

Explanation of the Hadith

            This Hadith means that the fly carries on one of its wings a disease, and on the other a cure from the same disease. When a fly falls into a container (of food or drink), it puts forward the wing carrying the microbe, as a self-defense.

            Imam Ibn Hajar said in his commentary on the hadith that one of the scholars observed that the fly protects itself with its left wing, so it can be deduced that it carries the cure or the antidote on the right wing.

           

Mengenai kewujudan ombak dalaman di dalam laut

            Allah telah berfirman di dalam Quran:
            “...... Atau seperti gelap gelita di lautan dalam yang diliputi oleh ombak, yang di atasnya ombak (pula), di atasnya (lagi) awan; gelap gelita yang bertindih-tindih apabila dia mengeluarkan tangannya tiadalah dia dapat melihatnya, (dan) barangsiapa yang tiada diberi cahaya (petunjuk) oleh Allah tiadalah dia mempunyai cahaya sedikitpun."

            Ayat ini menyebutkan kegelapan yang ditemui di laut dalam dan samudera, di mana jika seseorang membentang tangannya, ia tidak boleh melihatnya. Kegelapan ditemui di laut dalam dan lautan yang di sekitar kedalaman 200 meter dan bawah. Pada kedalaman ini, hampir tidak ada cahaya yang sampai (lihat gambar 15). Di bawah kedalaman 1000 meter hampir tiada cahaya langsung. 

           Manusia tidak boleh menyelam lebih daripada 40 meter tanpa bantuan kapal selam atau peralatan khas. Manusia tidak dapat bertahan hidup tanpa bantuan di bahagian gelap lautan, seperti pada kedalaman 200 meter.
 

The Quran on Deep Seas and Internal Waves

God has said in the Quran:

“....Or (the unbelievers’ state) is like the darkness in a deep sea.  It is covered by waves, above which are waves, above which are clouds.  Darknesses, one above another.  If a man stretches out his hand, he cannot see it....”                                    

                                                                                                                       (Quran, 24:40)

     This verse mentions the darkness found in deep seas and oceans, where if a man stretches out his hand, he cannot see it.  The darkness in deep seas and oceans is found around a depth of 200 meters and below.  At this depth, there is almost no light (see figure 15).  Below a depth of 1000 meters there is no light at all.¹  Human beings are not able to dive more than forty meters without the aid of submarines or special equipment.  Human beings cannot survive unaided in the deep dark part of the oceans, such as at a depth of 200 meters.

  

Lagi tentang sungai dan lautan....

          Sains moden telah menemui bahawa di tempat di mana dua laut berbeza bertemu, wujudnya dinding penghalang di antara mereka. Dinding penghalang ini membahagi dua lautan sehingga setiap laut mempunyai kehangatan , kemasinan, dan ketumpatannya sendiri. 


           Sebagai contoh, air laut Mediterranean yang hangat, kurang kemasinan, dan kurang tumpat, dibandingkan dengan air lautan Atlantik. Apabila  air laut Mediterranean memasuki Lautan Atlantik di atas ambang Gibraltar, ianya bergerak sejauh beberapa ratus kilometer ke Lautan Atlantik pada kedalaman sekitar 1000 meter dengan kadar kehangatan,  kemasinan dan ketumpatannya sendiri. Air Laut Mediterranean  ini kekal  stabil di kedalaman tersebut (lihat Gambar 13).

Modern Science has discovered that in the places where two different seas meet, there is a barrier between them.  This barrier divides the two seas so that each sea has its own temperature, salinity, and density.1  For example, Mediterranean sea water is warm, saline, and less dense, compared to Atlantic ocean water.  When Mediterranean sea water enters the Atlantic over the Gibraltar sill, it moves several hundred kilometers into the Atlantic at a depth of about 1000 meters with its own warm, saline, and less dense characteristics.  The Mediterranean water stabilizes at this depth2 (see figure 13).
